Given that i am probably the youngest member of this forum at 29, i probably have the best taste in music ;D Anyway, i've seen several threads with links to youtibe and many songs all scattered around, the purpose of this thread is to keep them all in one place and to create debate. Post any song by any artist, and i promise not to take the wee wee I'll start. One for Foo. My favourite Foo Fighters song, from 1997 when they still had a hint of Grunge in their music. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=KVKDQgT_b-Y

If you click on the 'Tube' icon above, it allows you to embed the youtube vid in message. I've heard a lot worse than the Foo Fighters, but they haven't struck a chord with me yet. Here's my first entry. Reflections of my Life by Marmalade. Great sound, great melody

Your last vid isn't working Thommo I'm not a big fan of Nirvana, although I like the song 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'I'm an old fogey me, and that's why I thought Exiled's choice was pure class. Heart of Gold by Neil Young is up there with the best. I wonder if Exiled likes this song, and I wonder if we can educate Thommo and Foo It was wriiten by Joni Mitchell for Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, but Matthews Southern Comfort had a hit with it.

Should be working now. Its a band called The Black Keys with probably their most radio friendly track 10am Automatic. I far prefer that song to Nirvana Thommo. It says to me proper rock. What I call proper rock has its roots in the British rock progression of American blues music. The likes of Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Paul Rodgers, David Coverdale etc. Foo See 'what you like in music thread' what I'm going to write please.

And here's a beautiful song from another Yorkshire songsmith. Ps. He's good, so he's from Yorkshire, if he was crap, i would have no hesitation in admitting he is from Sheffield! oops. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pR-MTZVppkA

Feel free to embed your fave youtube songs roverdude.
Thommo I've got the album 'Coles Corner', and I think it's absolutely fantastic. Hawley has to be one of the most under-rated singer/songwriters in the country.

You didn't do anything wrong HTP. Some users on youtube don't permit their videos to be embedded on other sites, and yours was one of them. I hope you don't mind, but I've changed the vid. It's the same song, but different video.
When I heard the first few bars, I thought we were going to hear abit of Joan Jet:
