Back in Black was a hit in 1980...I love Rock n Roll wasn't a hit until 1982...though it had been released a couple of times before by The Arrows in 1975, then by Joan Jett in 1979 with Steve Jones and Paul Cook of the Sex Pistols. I like both songs...but Back in Black is the best, scriptman. roverdude...Back in Black is the song that first got me into rock music. Whole lotta Rosie! Great choice!

I didn't discover AC/DC until after his death. Back in Black was the first song of theirs I heard, but I soon had all the albums, and Bon Scott was the best singer/entertainer. I know it sounds daft...but I mourned him because I knew i'd never get to see him sing all those songs. I didn't actually see AC/DC until they came to Sheff Arena a few years ago. To say they were brilliant is an understatement. I'd waited 20 years to see them...and couldn't take my eyes off Malcolm and Angus for the first few tracks...I couldn't believe I was finally there watching them! It's beacause of AC/DC that I got into rock and went in the D!ckens in Rotherham where I met my husband...so when I play Back in Black, I say to my kids, "It's cos of this song that you born!" lol

sorry i'm being blonde and struggling to embed vid You just need to click on the Tube icon and paste the youtube song url in between the closed square brackets. I have embedded your vid roverdude, but I wouldn't dream of tampering with anyone's posts unless it was only to correct minor technical errors.

I'm rewinding back to HTP's posts. He's raised the crossbar... nice one matey. Angie by Rolling Stones is a true classic. How about this one though HTP. If you like Angie, you'll like this one. It'll send shivers down your spine.

I knew this thread would eventually get hijacked by you rockers. All we need now is Thinwhiteduke and we'll have the full set. Saying that I don't think HTP was around when you guys were on about rock on the Donnymad board. Rest assured Thommo, I shall re-address the balance. ... I love that video, I also like the song too

Can I just point something out guys that this forum doesn't require the long HTML codes, it deciphers it automatically from the buttons above. This is why I opted for this forum. For videos, all you need is the web page of your video on youtube, which you will find on the top of your page. In the above vid for example, it will be: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zEZriQOA2o .....and it's that what fits inside the square brackets when you click on the 'Tube' icon above. [**youtube]www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zEZriQOA2o[/youtube] Ignore the asterisks though because if I hadn't put them in, the video would have been posted.

You're welcome matey The reason why I chose this forum is basically because it does it for you. I once tried to put a photo on the VSC forum, which requires the full code etc, only when you get it wrong and try again, it records every attempt on the message with 'last edits at 4:05pm etc.......'. When I eventually got it right, underneath the photo was about 10 'last edits' for everyone to see. I felt like a right plonker

i think that i now can take the title of youngest forum member at the age of 21! and therefore i have the better taste in music. but don't worry i hate all the modern hardcore stuff i can't stand it, nothing but one big headache. you may actually find it suprising that i do like the oldie stuff like bowie and queen, walker bros etc. some of the songs nowadays are good but as my dad keeps reminding me, back in the old days people had to have talent in order to make it. anyway this was my idea of an introduction of myself..hey all! hope everyone is well....ps look how well im doing with the quizzes! not bad for me!

Welcome aboard rhapsody.... good taste in music, and you're doing great in the quiz.
What is your favourite Queen song? This is mine, because it reminds me of Donny Rovers ;D ;D

i do like that song as well but i like all queen songs. my favourite queen songs have to be bohemian rhapsody ( hence the name ) and who wants to love forever. i think the latter is sucha powerful song its truly great. they dont have any songs that can move you like that anymore. i would put the video in here but i have no idea how to do it. ill try though.
