Too right ;D ;D
But the holiday is booked.....not to worry....I'll have to consider getting a flight back to the UK... and go back again a day alter. .. but then again I could always say I was going back, but instead visit Alicante's latin quarter....non-stop mardi-gra with women wearing skimpy bikinis.
Does Alicante have a Latin Quarter?

We miss 2 home games in October, but there's not much we can do about it. p.s. scriptman...you shouldn't think of women in bikini's...not in your condition! lol

This happened to me twice in the early 80s. We went to Spain in November in successive years, so I had to miss both our Lg Cup win over Man City in 81, and another home league win over Leeds in 82. it was impossible finding out what the results were in the Spanish press!!

...but Donny or Barnsley might go down next season.....and that's it. I'm not getting younger..and might not see Barnsley at the Keepmoat. I just couldn't believe it. I knew I was going away..but what are the chances of my looking forward to most match being then. The computer could have thrown up 22 other teams...and away...so what's that...about a 500/1 chance we'd be playing Barnsley at home when I'm on holiday. It really does beggar belief. To say I'm totally p****d off is an understatement.

We've had this problem with the fixture lists over the years. There are enough derby matches for them to choose from, so why dont they arrange these local derbies around christmas and easter. Like they used to do when rugby league was played through the winter. You might get lucky though Script, the game might get postponed for some reason.

I'll not hold my breath...... I'll just have to try and get on a computer somewhere and listen to a commentary.

Scriptman, I have just flicked through this post, so am not sure if anyone as mentioned this already, but apparently rovers turned down a sky deal to show the barnsley game at the keepmoat... as it would mean rovers having congested fixtures... now in replacement of doncaster rovers its burnley v barnsley instead. so it might of been second best watching rovers from your sun lounger, but even that possibility as gone now script!!!!

I've read on the football league official board, that, a club should play league games in it's own town. And that the new owners of RUFC have to complete an application to the League if they want to play at DV, where they can play as long as a new ground is to be built in Rotherham and they move there in four years, and pay a bond of £750,000; and all debts have to be paid. It doesn't look goos, does it?
We'll have to wait and see what happens...won't we.
I can't see us paying off our creditors, so it looks like we'll be starting with -15 at least. But it's not as if we've done a "Leeds". A totally new company has bought the club, and I feel that each club's case should be judged individually.
If the sh!t hits the fan...i'll get my season ticket money back...and i'm off to watch Dinnington Town FC. (which is in Rotherham)

I've read on the football league official board, that, a club should play league games in it's own town. I hope it's not being applied retrospectively....otherwise Grimsby could be owing a few quid.

It's D-Day for the Millers on Monday. If the creditors aren't happy, then it's a -10 points.

TBH I haven't been on line much...if we've still got a team, i'll go...if we haven't...i'm not worrying about it...there's no point. There are other things that are more important.
