Darren Moore on a Bosman from Derby and the Celtic striker Riordan for a million quid we think !! to go along with the two we signed yesterday, the French geezer sound's a bit of a journeyman to be honest but the Argentinian's got a real pedigree, capped at every level bar the full team and was captain of the Argentina under 21 side, played alongside Tevez in that side, still a gamble but this is how we have to operate with the funds we have and we have to trust the manager who to be fair's got more right than he's got wrong thus far in the transfer market. People say we have paid over the odds for Hume but ....in reality 1.2 million is chicken feed at this level but alot for us,i think Hume will turn out to be a real asset to us and at 24 years old we have a player just coming into his prime and his re-sale value could increase under us.

I can't keep with Barnsley on the forum website.
Are these latest two rumours or have they signed?

Strong rumour's regarding Moore and Riordan but the two foreign lads signed yesterday, the Kev Phillips thing's not gone away either but i dont see that materialising now to be honest with WBA offering him the 2 year deal he wanted,if we can keep hold of Howard that in its self would be like a new signing because most of us thought he would have been sold by now, maybe just maybe the new signing's may influence him to stay another year and then line his pocket next summer when he can leave as a free agent, the club are saying that they want to keep him and we are under no financial pressure to sell, this could be a sales pitch for season ticket's sales and i am not totaly convinced by it to be honest.

Gary Mac confirmed his interest in Riordan aswell, and out of all the players linked he's the one I'd like to see sign the most. Riordan himself admitted he would consider a move to us, but i'm not sure Bates would be willing to cough up the transfer fee.
A move to Barnsley I think would suit him more than Burnley, who he has also been linked with, but i'm hoping Gary Mac would convince him Elland rd is his future!
