I have every 'Only Fools and Horses' episode, including the specials... every Auf Wiedersehen Pet episode, and 'Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads'. I also have every number one record on single from 'Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree' to 'Orinoco Flow'. Every number 1 record (on LPs) from Al Martino's 'Here in my Heart' to probably 'Orinoco Flow'. ...... and I used to have them all catalogued. I'm a bit of an anorak really....... but still my obsession wasn't quite as bad a Sherlockholic

My favourite film is "Dam Busters". When I was a little girl, I wanted to be an astronaught. I love gardening, but I hate worms. I'm afraid i'm not very intersting at all.

acido- I think John Candy was vastly underrated. He's my favourite actor of all time. Steve Martin played a great part in Plane Trains, but John Candy was absolutely superb.

Most fans seem to remember John Candy's role in that film as being the more enjoyable one. But on this rare occasion I actually like Steve Martin's character a bit more here. Right from their first meeting in the airport, and then when hes stuck next to him on the plane. You cant help but feel sorry for him, and you can understand why every little niggly teeth grinding moment is pushing him nearer and nearer to knocking his head off!
And the bit where he finds that his rental car has gone, and goes apesh*t with the woman at the desk, thats priceless.
Sadly, Steve Martin isnt funny anymore!

I do like Steve Martin, but I don't think he's naturally funny. You get actors like him, Ben Stiller, Gene Wilder etc who work by a script and struggle to ad lib etc.... conversely you get someone like Robin Williams, Will Smith on a talk show and the script goes to pot and they'll just take over. Like him or loathe him, I think one of the greatest natural comedians in this country is Johnny Vegas. I met him a couple of years ago in Benidorm and he's as funny playing pool in a bar, as he is behind a camera. I can recall seeing an interview with Paul Merton on TV and he said of Johnny Vegas that he is the easiest guy on TV to work with because as a comedic interviewer he didn't need to worry about being funny because Johnny Vegas would carry the whole show on his own.
