I was just thinking about the situation with Paul Green. Obviously the deal had been struck with Derby before the play-off final........but I just wonder what kind of reception Paul Green would have got, had the Donny fans known beforehand about the move to Derby. I reckon he would have got a hero's reception. In any walk of life, people move on. We've had ten years out of the lad, and let's face it, he's given us blood, sweat, and tears. Who can blame him for wanting a new challenge..to earn better money? I just think it's sad that the Donny fans didn't have the opportunity to show their appreciation to him.

We had the same thing with Craig Hignett in 2000,he left the field at Wembley and that was the last time we were to see him in a red shirt again,he signed for Blackburn Rover's within a week and all we had were the memories, very sad way to end your career especially when legend status is attached.

I'm not trying to come across as being the wise old owl....but I think you get to an age when you accept things like these happen in football. It doesn't make it any easier...but 20 or 30 year ago I would have been up in arms...and labelled him a Judas.
