To tell the truth i find the whole Premiership one big yawn and completly boring. For a start there's only 2 or 3 teams max that can win it,the rest are simply making up the numbers and surviving, give or take one or two exceptions the 3 promoted teams from the ccc are like lambs to the slaughter,Derby's points tally last season was simply disgraceful and i dont expect Hull or Stoke to fair much better although WBA may survive but only because they have a recent history at this level. You see i remember the 70's when things were much different,7 or 8 teams had a fair chance at winning it and Notts Forest fresh from a 3rd place division 2 promotion won the thing in 1978,and so did Derby County,Everton,Leeds,Arsenal and of course Liverpool, thats 6 different clubs in 10 years, not to mention the ones who almost won it,QPR,Spurs Man City and United. Nah no interest in the so called big 4 or the faceless foreigners that perform for most of the Premiership clubs and jump ship at the drop of a hat.

Do you know mate, I entirely agree with you.
Can you remember when we used to scoff at the Scottish league because it was so predictable. I've nowt against teams like Everton, Villa, Blackburn, Middlesbrough etc....but the gap between them and the big four is growing by the day. It's not a case of who can be the best....it's a case of who is the richest...... and money means power. Not only that, the papers are full of it... It's only a pity that the Championship program on a Sunday isn't on long enough.....it certainly makes for a refreshing change.

Question is would we want Donny in the premiership?? Not saying it coz it will probably never happen but frankly NO!!! Sounds bludy stupid but in a way I miss the days out in the conference, league 2 etc.. THe higher up you get the more expensive it is,Im already concerned whether I can afford to take myself and me boys to the likes of Birmingham,Derby!! Plus would you want season after season of mid-table obscurity in premiership??!! I bet Derby will enjoy next season more than last!!

Course we do ;D
I know what you are saying though besty....but there's no rational thought when it comes to football.
I wish I could transport back to the 1970s. I've been told I look back at it through rose-tinted specs...but...I don't think so....it was great being being a Donny fan back then. It was unconditional love.... because they certainly never gave you owt to shout about .......and you never had any expection.

Going back to the what we all refer to as the BIG 4, is there really 4 ? Can Arsenal and Liverpool really be in the equation - final positioning over the past 4 seasons tends to tell us that it should be talked about in tems of the BIG 2. .....and with this in mind, the Premiership is really no better than the SPL. Having been in the Premiership in the past few years and now in the 3rd tier (still can't bear to say it) I must admit I don't really miss it at all - I wouldn't mind getting up to the CCC though. Premiership money and the big-time-charlies...you can keep em (for now)

It seems that way, but I'd certainly put Arsenal on par with Man U and Chelsea.
