With Sky Sports playing so many songs and the number of films based around football using music soundtracks, there are certain songs now I listen to, and automatically think of football. Waterfall by the Stone Roses, I see as a football song...it always seems to appear in football films. All Together Now by the Farm etc. Where Donny are concerned, the songs 'The Boy's are back in Town' by Thin Lizzy, and The Impossible Dream by Andy Williams.... spur me to think about Rovers. In fact...for a bit of fun, let's bestow teams with theme tunes.... Leeds United- Yesterday or Miss you nights or It should have been me ;D Donny- (I'll say it before anyone else does) Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves... Yeah we know ) or We are the Champions or You take me upRotherham- I who have nothing or The other man's grass is always greener. Barnsley- Wishin' and Hopin' or Smalltown Boy Bristol City- Rockin' RobinSheffield Wednesday- The way we were or Radio Gaga

The donnydaz chap has made some good vids.
Stone Roses' Waterfall seems to be popular in football films. Wasn't it in Green Street and Jimmy Grimble?

For some reason, football fans my age associate killers, coldpay and keane with football. Ive heard this tune below... on the juke box in park hotel... when having a few pre match pints. I associate this tune with football, so maybe thats why i and others associate the above bands with football because of the good old juke box ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Oec8RuwVVs

Walkaway by Cast
Not a song that everyone would immediately recognise as a footballing one but it always sticks long in my memory.
Just after Germany had beaten England on penalties in the semi of Euro 96 the BBC, in their infinite wisdom, decided that this should be the theme to their closing credits......
.....as if I didn't feel bad enough, this wrist-sliting song comes on and I'm stood in the middle of the pub with tears falling down my face.
Not a pretty sight I tell you.

Are you still that serious about England Exiled? Yes I know you/me will always be English, and you/we never really lose that support of our home country. But seeing as you live away now, and remebering how disappointing England have been in recent years. Has the support declined a bit? I can honestly say Ive lost a lot of interest in them since failing to qualify for Euro 08, last November. And even more so, this has been boiling over for ages now because these current players are over rated and dont seem to give a sh*it about their country. It was a superb performance and result in Croatia by the way!!!

No Acido, I'm not as fanatical about England as I used to be - it wouldn't be very good for my well-being if i stood in a bar over here and celebrated an England goal. I live in a very Republican area where a lot of people still don't have much time for the English (wish they'd move on), so I keep my watching of England games to my house....
That's not the only reason though - I can't stand many of these so-called superstars who appear for England now and again. The likes of Terry, Ferdinand, Lampard and Gerrard etc....do my head in. Where's their pride??? Tucked in their wallets, that's where it is - slag Beckham down all you like but at least you get the feeling that he tries his best.
I still like to see England do well and enjoy the tournaments but I have as much pleasure in seeing the ROI win too.

When I say Im losing my support of England, thats probably not quite true. The fact that I missed our participation in Euro 08 this year means the support is and always will still be there. But they dont make it easy being a fan do they!!
I wonder if the press will leave the kid Walcott alone after his hat trick in Croatia. Knowing them, they will hound him like mad.
